Prep, Aftercare, & Maintenance
At Liquid Sunshine we believe every client deserves to look and feel their very best. Our goal is to provide you with a gorgeous tan. We use all natural, 100% paraben free solution to create the perfect color for you. You will leave looking and feeling beautiful without damaging your skin.
First and foremost, Liquid Sunshine is a studio located in our home. It is a fairly small room. We ask that you please avoid bringing your children to your appointment if at all possible. If your child/children accompany you to your appointment, they will be required to remain with you in the spray tan studio during your spray tan!

Being 5 minutes late only allows 15 minutes for undressing, tanning, drying, powdering and getting dressed again. We simply cannot do everything that needs done in such a short amount of time. Failure to be prompt could result in your appointment being rescheduled.
Exfoliate your entire body with a non-oil based scrub prior to your appointment. Shaving, waxing, manicures and pedicures need to be done a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment.
Do Not wear any makeup, lotion, deodorant, perfume, etc. to your appointment. Hair should be pulled up or tied back! We do not provide hair ties. Loose, dark clothing is a MUST! Tight fitting clothes (including undergarments) and close toed shoes will rub off the freshly applied solution and will also cause a fully developed tan to fade faster. Weather permitting, flip flops always work well.
I will discuss your rinse time with you during your appointment. Avoid all contact with water and/or sweating until your rinse time!
Premium Spray Tan Rinse Instructions:
Rinse with luke warm WATER only until water runs clear. DO NOT use any bar soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Pat skin to dry and avoid “rubbing” your skin. Be gentle! Do not apply lotion or any other skin care products to your body for the duration of the evening. This also includes the use of facial wipes, acne creams, facial cleaners, etc. after rinsing!!
After you rinse, your tan will continue to develop over the next 8-10 hours. Continue wearing loose clothing for the duration of the evening and avoid sweating during the night if possible. You may resume regular hygiene and use of skin care products the following morning. For the duration of your tan, DO NOT scrub your skin with any item or product that could be harsh or abrasive to the skin. Doing so could remove your tan! If you want to avoid markings avoid wearing tight clothing, including sport bras. Moisturize twice a day! With proper care your spray tan will last approximately 10-14 days on average.
It is imperative that you moisturize regularly and take care of your tan. Neglecting your skin will result in a shortened tan life.
